Greetings from Minnesota, friends!
We made the arduous journey from Gembu to the States and survived it once again! We left our home in Gembu on June 6 and arrived at our Pine River MN home around 11:00 on June 9. We packed up our bags and headed out to drive to the Reach Conference on June 11. We attended the Converge Global Leaders’ Summit, which was wonderful to get to connect with our fellow Global Workers from around the World, and then we attended the Reach Conference, which was a great encouragement and inspiration to us. We got to share an AirBNB with John and Karen Ames and enjoyed getting to know our Converge Africa Impact Team Leaders even better! We left Colorado on June 23 and met our friend Nathan in Kansas City on the 25 to talk about how we could get an Agriculture program going in Nigeria. We got to update to our Galesburg IL church on June 26 and meet with the Mission’s team. We left our friend Dee’s house in Galesburg on June 27 and arrived back in Pine River that night.
We are thankful for great connections, safety, and encouragement during this time! On Independence Day we got to celebrate with Tina’s mom and sisters, as well as our older son, Andrew. Our hearts are very full!

We haven’t confirmed our schedule for September yet and are going back to Gembu in October.
We will need to renew our Visas again when we return to Nigeria, please pray that it is a smooth process. We are also still working on the duty waiver for the container.
Some of our staff are going through a Discipleship Bible Study. The week we left we introduced the material and had 7 people in attendance. That number has increased to 12 over the last 4 weeks. That means there are now 12 people learning how to disciple others. We are excited to see what this will look like when we return to Nigeria.

Our Staff person to pray for is Salome. Salome is our new teacher who is learning and doing a wonderful job in our TTP as well as the children’s classes. Salome is a single mother and a great addition to our teaching team!
