Hello from the Rensberger household! We are eager to update you on what is going on for us. We’re so grateful for your prayers and the role you play in helping us to serve in the way God has called us.

First of all, we have a new member of the family! Joanna Mae joined us on June 11th at 5:32 AM. She is precious and we’re so grateful for a safe delivery and for a healthy mom and baby. Her name means God is gracious, and we’ve seen God’s grace poured out through the details of labor and delivery and the love and care we’ve received from family and friends.

With the birth of Joanna, we can now focus on our next steps in ministry - a trip to the Philippines! We’re so excited to share that details are falling into place for us to travel to the Philippines in late August. The purpose of our visit is to determine whether the healthcare there would be able to safely handle Lance’s Ulcerative Colitis and Autoimmune Hepatitis. We are hopeful and excited about the possibility of serving our church planters in the Philippines, but also hold this plan loosely.
We need your help! We are trying to find a doctor here in the states that would be willing to consult with Lance if we were to move to the Philippines. Our desire is that he or she would be a sounding board/second opinion for test results and treatment plan decisions in conjunction with the Filipino doctors. So, if you know of a great gastroenterologist and/or hepatologist that would be willing to talk with Lance, please send us their information or give them ours so that we could get in touch with them. The doctor Lance currently has is a very good doctor and has said that he would happily consult with Lance, but in the past communication with this doctor has been very slow to nonexistent if the question didn’t immediately pertain to Lance’s current treatment plan. We feel a doctor in the states that is privy to the details of Lance’s case would be a huge asset to ensuring the decisions the Filipino specialists might make are the right decision.

- Clarity and wisdom when talking with doctors while in the Philippines. We trust the Lord’s leading and want to make as much of an informed decision as possible.

Praise the Lord that we are over halfway to our support goal for overseas living! Once we know which field we'll serve on we'll have a more accurate number.
