The best part of waking up is… Toastmasters! That’s exactly the “cup of coffee” I shared with the Grace Toastmasters club. Twice! And oh… it was good!
They serve up 2 kinds of coffee. Coffee for the “in-person” taste. And coffee for the “virtual” taste. I’ve tried both! No matter which you choose, Grace is the Place to get your day started with confidence.
While still dark outside, Grace Toastmasters are rising to prepare a Toastmasters Meeting like no other. When the clock strikes 6:45AM, the gavel sounds and an energetic “Good Morning!” fills the room. I knew I was in for treats. And, yeah… a trick too!
The TREATS? Definitely my new friends… Gwen, McKee, Rebecca, Dan, Wendy, Maria, Bryan, Debra and Chris who made my visits amazing. And, the Toastmaster-y atmosphere was complete with their club banner, agendas, timing lights, podium, colorful speaker ribbons, basket, voting slips and fun themes (1st visit - Summer Vacations; 2nd visit - State Fair).
They hold true to the 3 main parts of a Toastmasters’ meeting while including an invocation, club business, the PLG duty holder (that’s Parliamentarian, Listener, and Grammarian), a Jester, and a BIG 3
