Transition
We have been in West Virginia, USA, for almost two months after our international transition. For those of you who have requested monthly newsletters, I apologize for the delay in writing for a few months.
I enjoyed giving away as many books as possible before we left, especially the Christian books in Thai. We also heard from some of the people whom we have given Bible related Thai books. They are really thankful for the books, and find they are helping them understand the Bible a lot better.
The month of May was terribly busy, selling and giving away things, moving out of our house in San Sai, saying goodbye to many friends and co-workers, moving into the Chiangmai Church apartment, unpacking everything and simultaneously packing about 24 luggage bags (some of which were kindly transported by friends), then taking our
international flights back to the USA. That felt a bit chaotic for several weeks!
During all that, we have kept up with Thai class every week except for when we had our flight. We want to improve or at least maintain our conversational skills in the Thai language while we are away, so we can be more effective missionaries when we return, Lord willing. I have a goal of learning how to read children’s Bible stories so that when we take a trip back to Thailand I can read a story for Sabbath School. The reading lessons are also doubling as a Bible study, as my Thai teacher is a relatively new believer. She takes time to ask deep questions on how to apply the Bible truths to life, and it is really strengthening her faith.
For our donors, thank you so much for
supporting us in our mission. We really appreciate it. Hard to believe it has been 10 years already! While we are in the USA, donations will be used for continuing Thai language study, remotely working on computer based projects for Thailand Gospel Media, and for saving up for tickets for our next mission trip to Thailand. God bless you all,
Tesha & Daniel Bair, and kids.
