Message from our President

As the 18th August draws closer, flights are booked, and the excitement is building to see everyone at the conference in Budapest.   It’s been a long time since we met in Bali in 2019, and so much has changed in the world since then.  We weren’t even considering social distancing back then.   Our world grew smaller as we met each other on zoom, and we learned how to teach on zoom, hold hang outs and have a virtual social life.    How exciting is it then to be looking forward to a face to face conference, meeting friends once more and  coming together as a world community?   I’ve heard Margarita Island is beautiful, and I can’t wait to find out.  There will be familiar faces and old friends there.   Please come and say hello at the IKC stand if you’re joining us.   If not, the conference recordings will be available after the conference.  Or you could come and meet us at our next IKC Hour on the 21st of September for the Autumn solstice.   It will be hosted by the Personal Development School Dean, Sylvia Marina,  who will introduce you to the PDS.

Ger Casey, President,

News from the IKC Schools

Personal Development School

The PDS board is a most happy place to serve. It is a joy to support our authors.
The “Meet The Authors” one-hour events are open to everyone; members and guests. The next MTA is 7th September, email  pds.dean@ikc-info.org to be advised of the zoom link.

Our meet the Author’s videos are available here https://www.ikc-info.org/VideoLinks.aspx
We invite all PDS authors to contact us for a MTA date. We want to learn about your work.
For many it is both intimidating and exciting to extend their present reach. Let us guide you. If you have a course that fits within the Self Responsibility and Education model you may be ready. Go to https://www.ikc-info.org/ Guidelines and application forms are towards the bottom of the page.

We will be at the conference in Budapest. Be sure to come to the IKC table near the entrance to the conference room and say hello.

Till then…be well and prosper.

Sylvia Marina, Dean of the Personal Development School

Touch for Health School

The IKC Conference in Budapest is fast approaching, It’s been a long time since we were together at the IKC Conference in Bali but finally we can meet again in person. And for TFH Faculty and Trainers we will have our TFH Retreat for three days prior to the Conference. The agenda for the retreat is full and the conference speakers are marvellous. But I have to admit that my mind always goes to everyone in Ukraine, my deepest thoughts of Peace for everyone.

Henry Remanlay, Dean of the Touch for Health School

Professional School

We love to keep in touch with our PS community. We are offering Online Gatherings to connect with Professional Kinesiologists from all around the world, to offer a space to share, to listen and to grow together.
We had our first tryout in June with the French community. It was a great opportunity to hear about the needs of our members and to get to know each other.
More Online Gatherings will be programmed in the coming months with our different language communities. Details will be emailed to our registered Professional Kinesiologists.

Toni Lilley

TFH and Kinesiology Pioneer and longest serving IKC officer, Retires

Toni Lilley served for many years as the TFH School Dean and has continuously served as an executive officer for 32 years, from 1994-2022 (and continuously served on association/industry boards since 1984!).   In her native Australia, she has been one of the most outstanding instructors, Instructor Trainers (training well over 500 instructors!) and Faculty members, supporting and encouraging future faculty from around the world such as Pauline Hogben (South Africa), Kenichi Ishimaru (Japan), Amy Choi (China), Henry Remanlay (Indonesia), Rashida Naraharasetti (India), Shauna Shaw (Australia) among others.

Although Toni has developed several Kinesiology workshops, manuals and workbooks, founded her own school and government recognized Registered Training Organization for professional Kinesiologists she remains a down-to-earth instructor/practitioner.  Toni says, “Don’t talk, Show.”  Demonstrate the effectiveness of balancing with friends and family or in front of large groups of professionals. Toni has passed the torch to her good friends of many decades as well as recent days who will carry on in her spirit of friendship and love for Touch for Health.

The IKC would like to thank Toni for her commitment, hard work and inspiration for over three decades.
