HAMILTON CALDER
As we continue to support, grow and celebrate volunteering, we ask that you share your organisation’s needs and priorities through our Annual Survey. Your responses will help us to better understand any issues, so we can advocate on your behalf, and plan a better volunteering future.

Today we are excited to be launching the Northern Territory Volunteer of the Year Awards 2022. The Awards, in their thirteenth year are a highlight on the NT events calendar and are a fabulous way to recognise the outstanding contribution of the Northern Territory volunteers, volunteer involving organisations, corporate volunteering programs and volunteer managers at work in our community. More information is detailed in the article below.

I am pleased to announce the current volunteering dollar replacement hourly figure for Australia is currently $46.62 per hour, and for NT $45.30 and, SA $42.40. More information is detailed in the article below.

Last week, during #NAIDOC2022 we recognised the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Increasing opportunities for everyone to volunteer, including First Nations People, People with Disability and Newly Arrived Migrants, is paramount. We look forward to reducing the barriers to volunteering, and building capacity for diversity and inclusion in the volunteer base.

As always, stay safe and keep volunteering!
