This week we again have the privilege of being the host church for the Grand Rapids Interfaith Hospitality Network.  We are thankful for all those who have volunteered to help with IHN this week.  Pray that we may be the heart and hands of Christ as we care for the homeless families who are with us.  Pray, too, that these families will be blessed and that they will find permanent housing soon.

Continue to pray and lift up the following people who are in need of God's care: Ruth Ruiter, Louise Langland, Chuck Ezinga,   Marty Vander Wall,  Hillary Vanderlaan,  Ellie Marie, Rich Zylstra, Cheryl VanderMolen,   Nellie Bouwkamp, Mary Benson, and Stephanie Coblentz.

PRAYER REQUESTS: From Donn and Betty Treese
***Donn successfully made a trip to Morocco to help our daughter, Shanti, move back to the US after teaching there for seven years. Praise God they arrived back safely with all her luggage. Pray for her to know God’s direction for the future
.
***Two of the students, from our Deeper Discipleship group, Precious (Cameroon) and Denise (Zimbabwe) are in Colorado for the summer at a Navigator headquarters for a training program for international students sent from Nav ministries in other parts of the world. Please pray they will learn all God wants to teach them and come back to our campus as student leaders for next year. We are wanting our students to take more ownership of the ministry.

***It has been a slow start, but to deepen relationships with students and meet new ones this summer we have started a Book Club with students discussing the book, Foreign To Familiar, by Sarah Lanier. It provides an interesting framework for understanding cultural differences and leads to lively discussions. Our teammates are leading another discussion of “What is Faith” using the Apostles’ Creed. Pray for more students to join us.

***Donn will be attending a conference next week in Dallas, TX about reaching Hindus. This network is the largest association of people in the West reaching out to those from Hindu background. Pray that Donn will be able to make good connections with others and to learn much that will be useful in helping Hindus come to know Jesus.

Join Us for In-Person Worship

We invite all those comfortable to in-person worship at 10AM on Sunday.

As we worship together, let us be aware that many members have different levels of comfort with personal interactions.  Before going in for a fist bump, handshake, or hug, make sure the other person is comfortable with those interactions.  Let's work together to create a welcoming worship space for everyone.
