FACILITATOR' S MESSAGE

In any volunteer endeavor, change is inevitable.  Change is often for the better and what emerges can bring new life to a community.  I hope there is never a fear of change.

“When one door closes, another one opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the one which has opened."
-Alexander Graham Bell

Village Recipe of the Month!

Savory Chicken
(works best in cast iron skillet, but any will do)

8 very thin sliced boneless chicken breast
4 medium slices of deli ham
4 thick slices of swiss cheese
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon FRESH sage
 1/2 t. garlic powder
dash white pepper
  fresh pasta
Heat oil in a 12' skillet until shimmery
Cook chicken for two minutes on each side.

On four of the chicken filets, divide the sage, add a slice of ham and a slice of cheese.  Place the other filet on top of the cheese.  Some of the cheese will ooze into the juice. Carefully flip the filets to cook evenly.  Add the chicken broth and bring to a bubbly sauce.
Serve over fresh pasta!

 Please share your favorite recipe!
