Art in the Gardens
Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7
This year there will be two days of Art in the Gardens festivities! Join us Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7 from 11:00am to 5:00pm in a celebration of creative expression, gorgeous gardens, music, food, and drink.

In addition to the annual festivities, the weekend will kick off with a party (the Soirée is back!) and workshops to get your creative juices flowing.


ART

In addition to the annual festivities, there will be opportunities on August 5, 6, and 7 for you to get creative and nurture your inner artist, including Paper Collage, Pine Needle Basketry, Paint & Sip with Artevino Natural Wines, and Kids Acrylic Painting. The garden party of the season

Not many get to enjoy the golden glow of our Perennial Garden at dusk. Join us for an exclusive evening amidst the flowers complete with hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and entertainment.

See this year's Art in the Gardens featured artwork and learn a bit about Featured Artist, Button Quinn's process. Sip wine, craft brews, and "Farm-to-Cocktails" concoctions provided by Bee Hunter WineNorth Coast Brewing Company, and Mendocino Outland. Mingle as you savor the evening glory of our Perennial Garden enhanced by birdsong and the acoustic melodies of Back Porch Duo. Enjoy locally sourced hors d'oeuvres created by Lombardo’s Fine Foods and provided by Assaggiare MendocinoHarvest MarketPrincess Seafood, and Roundman's Smokehouse & Butcher Shop.

Tickets are $125 per person and include hors d’oeuvres, craft cocktails, wine, and beer. All proceeds from this fundraiser event help to support the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. Tickets for the Summer Soirée are limited and will sell quickly... PURCHASE TICKETS TODAY!

The Friends of the Gardens (FOG) annual Birdhouse Auction is happening online right now!  The auction will take place entirely online, where you can enjoy a bidding war or purchase your favorite for the "win-it-now" price... a fantastic donation to the Gardens and a big win for you! Bid increments are automatically set at $5.

NEW THIS YEAR –– When bidding reaches $400, the "win-it-now" option disappears. This means that bidding will continue all the way until the auction comes to a close on August 11th at 8:00PM. These highly sought-after birdy-abodes can potentially bid beyond $500 making this fundraiser even more of a roaring success! Take a look at your favorite birdhouses today and see if you want to take the plunge and “buy-it-now” price before you cannot…

Intro to Cut Flower Gardening
This Saturday, July 23 | 10:00am to 12:00pm

Join Wyatt Emig, MCBG Horticulturist, in planning your own cut flower garden. From the beginning stages to harvest, Wyatt will share tips for success. Learn about soil preparation, seed ordering, watering/irrigation, pest management, cutting, and crafting arrangements. By the end of this hands-on workshop, you should have the skills to start planning for your next cut flower garden.

Symphony of the Redwoods 

Concerts at the Gardens
Sunday, July 31 | 12:00pm to 4:30pm

Following last year's success, the Symphony of the Redwoods is proud to present a day of free outdoor concerts at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. This year the concerts will take place over one day on the MCBG Event Lawn. It will be a concert-style program with an option to dance on the side. Midsummer smiles and a bounce in your step! At 12:00 PM Roy Zajac, clarinet virtuoso, will perform a Mozart and a Gershwin clarinet quintet and additional pieces with a local string quartet. Vocalist Christiana Valentin will perform with her tango ensemble beginning at 3:00 PM. All concerts will be professionally miked to enhance the outdoor music listening experience. There will be a limited amount of seating available on a first-come-first-served basis and plenty of lawn seating. 

TICKETS
All concerts are free to attend with the cost of regular Gardens admission (free and no reservation required for current MCBG Members). Admission tickets must be purchased online in advance. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets to attend the concerts and see the Gardens on Sunday, July 31.
