Karma represents the natural principle of cause and effect—actions produce results that will be experienced at some point in the future. This means that everything we are in the present moment, including our body and the other aggregates, are a direct result of previous actions. At the same time, it also means that every action we take now can determine our future conditions. Karma is not something fatalistic or predetermined; karma reveals our ability to create our future and change our lives.
