Join us next Wednesday, August 10th, 2022, 10 AM - 3 PM, at Shone Farm - Santa Rosa Junior College for a FREE workshop on small farm technology.

About The Small Farm Technology Workshop
This workshop will cover multiple aspects of farm technology, from in the office to out in the field. The first part of the event will be led by the Shone Farm team and feature the small farm tools and machinery they use at Shone Farm.  Afterward, a presentation from experts at CAFF's Small Farm Tech Hub, will provide you with an opportunity to learn about online tools and software meant to make your farming operations easier. The workshop will conclude with a short farmer roundtable and a Q&A session.

Don't miss this great opportunity to engage with your local farming community, connect with technical assistance providers, and learn about other funding and networking opportunities available.  Refreshments and light lunch will be served. Bilingual resources will be available.

About Shone Farm

Shone Farm is a 365-acre outdoor learning laboratory for the Santa Rosa Junior College’s Agriculture/Natural Resources Department. The farm provides students with hands-on experience that cannot be duplicated in the classroom. The farm is located about 12 miles from the Santa Rosa Campus, between the towns of Forestville and Windsor, in the heart of the Russian River Valley AVA (American Viticulture Area). It was named in honor of Robert Shone, a very active leader in Sonoma County agriculture, in addition to being a Santa Rosa Junior College trustee and President of the Sonoma County Farm Bureau.

What is the North Coast Farmer Workshop Series?

The North Coast Farmer Workshop Series is a combination of free in-person and online workshops taking place in summer/fall 2022, which will feature a variety of speakers, locations, and cover a wide range of agricultural topics. This workshop series is being put on by Conservation Works in partnership with the Community Alliance of Family Farmers (CAFF) with grant funding from the California Dept. of Food and Agriculture (CDFA). These workshops will give beginning, small and underserved producers the opportunity to engage with other farmers, ranchers, and technical assistance providers in a relaxed environment, ask questions regarding workshop topics, and connect with their regional farming network. Please see below for more information on individual workshops.
