Rev. Gary Faleide will be in the pulpit this Sunday, the Ninth Sunday After Pentecost. His sermon is titled "Like a Thief in the Night", based on scripture Hebrews 11:1-3, 8-16 and Luke 12:32-40. This is Communion Sunday, so if you are on Zoom, please have a drink and grain on hand.
Rev. Gary Faleide will be in the pulpit. Our scripture this Sunday is Hebrews 11:29-12:2 and Luke 12:49-56.

Note: We will continue to have worship services in the Chapel and on Zoom throughout the summer and into fall. Rev. Gary Faleide will continue to be with us. If there are reports of high temperatures, which would make in person worship unbearable, we would try to notify attendees that worship would be Zoom only for that service. There have been no decisions as yet as to how long we will continue to worship, but we do have a rental agreement with Ebenezer Pentecostal Church of God until the end of May 2023. Due to heat and summer activities, we had our last fellowship time in the lounge following worship on 6/5/22. We will resume fellowship time on Gathering Day in September.
Covid-19 guidelines from IDPH will be followed and future updates will be provided to the congregation.

- Our previous pastor, Rev. Dr. Robert von Trebra has come out of retirement to serve as Interim Pastor at First Plymouth Congregational UCC in Englewood/South Denver where he previously served briefly in 2019 after leaving Lyonsville. Best to you Pastor Bob.

COVID GUIDELINES FOR LYONSVILLE
We understand that combining three main precautions reliably leads to safe indoor gatherings: mask wearing, distancing, and ventilation. Our policies are consistent with guidance and requirements from local, state, and federal public health authorities and our wider United Church of Christ. As conditions change, we will continue to review and adjust these policies.
- Throughout the building, masks are optional, but encouraged, for everyone two years of age and older, regardless of vaccination status.
- As a courtesy to the welfare of all, please provide safe space to others.
- Windows will be open to provide ventilation whenever possible.
- Please do not attend in-person worship if you are experiencing any Covid-like symptoms

COVID-19 Vaccine Updates
At this point, COVID-19 vaccines in Illinois are available to all people 16 and older. There are more and more resources in our community to make sure nobody is left behind:
