This past legislative session I worked hard to deliver on the promise to invest in behavioral health care, improve access to affordable housing, and save Coloradans money. Bills that were passed will save Coloradans money on everything from professional licensing fees to housing and child care, and reduced property taxes for families and businesses across the state. In the coming months more of us will continue to feel the real impact of these victories.
For the first time ever, the legislature proactively passed legislation to expedite much needed tax relief for all Coloradans in the form of direct Colorado Cashback rebate checks – $750 per individual and $1500 per joint tax filer!
Are you ready for your Colorado Cashback?
Thanks to the tax reform bill we passed in 2021 that closed corporate tax loopholes and made our tax system more equitable, nearly everyone – and especially working families – will get an even larger Colorado Cashback refund than they would have otherwise. And best of all, your Colorado Cashback check will be arriving months earlier, when you most need it, as folks feel the pinch of inflation.
You and other Colorado taxpayers will begin to receive the Colorado Cashback check in the mail this August. If you haven’t filed your state taxes, it is not too late to get your Colorado Cashback. Extension filers, who have a deadline of October 17, 2022 to file their income tax return, will receive their refund by January 31, 2023. You can find more information at tax.colorado.gov/cash-back.
