THE LEGACY OF THOMAS BERRY
ILLUMINATIONS BY BRIAN EDWARD BROWN
Brian Brown is one of Thomas Berry's most significant students and interpreters having studied with his mentor at Fordham University, and lived with him for a year at the Riverdale Center for Religious Research. An exceptional thinker in his own right as scholar of Buddhism, Native American Religions, and Environmental
Jurisprudence, Brian also had the singular grace of being an intimate friend of Father Thomas, blest in a unique way to carry forth Berry's legacy in his teaching during his tenure as religious historian at Iona College, and in these brief but lucid commentaries offered by him each month during the Berry Contemplative Ecologists Circles.
See his bio here.
Now these reflections will be available for all of us each month to savor and ponder: radiant illuminations on The Great Work of our time.
This month we offer Brian's reflection from the Contemplative Ecologists Circle for July 21, 2022, based on the complete final essay
"MOMENTS OF GRACE"
in The Great Work: Our Way into the Future.
