Businessing

Read tips from business consultants:
How to prevent conflicts with your business partners

There are many advantages to not running a business all on your own. Read how to avoid the common pitfalls that threaten a good partnership. Experienced consultants from the South Moravian Innovation Centre (jic.cz) offer two key pieces of advice: prevention and constructive space for conflict.

How well do you know your city?

You're looking at the inner courtyard of the Spilberk Castle, and some of its famous features. The set of bells in the background, finely tuned in chromatic order so that they sound harmoniously together, celebrate the acoustics of the courtyard.
Many open-air concerts also take advantage of the excellent acoustics and poignant atmosphere of the place. For example, the Spilberk International Music Festival is happening this very month. There are still some tickets left, check the Brno Philharmonic's website

Brasil Fest Brno

Open-air dancing with Sabor Latino
7 August, Ponava, Lužánky
Sabor Latino - Combo is a Brno band playing well-known hits and evergreens of Cuban dance music (salsa, cha cha, bolero). This lively music is a treat not only to your ears, but especially to your feet. Come dance through a hot tropical evening in their company.
Brno Music Marathon

This multi-genre music festival will see a continuous flow of professional and amateur music productions from all genres, all across Brno.
On Boards, Pavement, and Grass
14-21 August, various venues

Špilberk International Music Festival
15-25 August, Špilberk Castle courtyard
A traditional open-air music festival annually brings unforgettable musical evenings in the castle courtyard, up on the Špilberk Hill. This year, there are 4 concerts to choose from. Next to large symphonic works (e.g. Dvořák, Janáček, Tchaikovsky, Bruch, etc.), you can opt for other genres under the summer sky, like John Williams' music to blockbuster movies (Harry Potter, Star Wars), or for an art rock music of Roman Dragoun & B-Side Band.
NFT Insights
3 September, KUMST Brno - South Moravian Creative Hub
An afternoon filled with talks from experts who will showcase insights into the world of NFTs from legal, technological, and art perspectives, and will be available to answer any questions you might have. (A non-fungible token, NFT, means financial security consisting of digital data stored in a blockchain, a form of a distributed ledger.)
Would you like to find out what your children could look like?
The new "Mendelapka", developed in Brno for Mendel's anniversary, allows you just that.
Who wouldn’t know Mendel? He knew that there was no pea like a pea. We still use the results of his research today. Would you like to test this in practice? Mind you, the app is more a fun test than to base any decisions on. "Our application does not aspire to be a scientific tool, but it does make use of basic rules of genetics." You can download the app for free at Google Play, though the version for Apple is only now being finished.
