2022-23 Religious School Open House

Please join us for the 2022-2023 CKA religious school open house! You will be able to tour the building and your classroom, meet your teacher, meet other religious school families, and ask any questions you may have!
CRASE and Stop the Bleed Training
August 4 and August 8, 2022
Congregation Kol Ami is happy to announce another round of CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) and Stop the Bleed training. We are conducting this training in conjunction with the Flower Mound Police and Fire departments respectively. This training is open to the public. You do not have to be a member of the congregation or have a member in attendance with you. Please feel free to bring as many friends and family you wish to this very important training. It could save your or another’s life. Please Note: There are some graphic images in parts of the training that may not be appropriate for young children.
The CRASE training is on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 7:00 PM. The Stop the Bleed training is on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 7:00 PM. You may attend one or both courses and sign up for either using this link. Please be sure to sign up in advance so we can provide the appropriate head count to our Police and Fire partners.

Religious School Registration
We hope everyone is enjoying their summer, the time off from school, and a well needed break. Even though it is just July, it is time to start registering your students for Religious School. The first day of classes is August 21, 2022 for Pre-K through 8th grade. The High School classes will begin on September 11, 2022.
We can sign up you child or children using this link. We look forward to seeing everyone back in classes in a few weeks. The upcoming year promises to be a great one!
Time to Show our Furry Friends Some Love
We are in the dead of summer and our 4 legged friends need our help! The Flower Mound Animal Services needs the following:
New and Gently used towels
New and gently used collars and leashes
IAMS puppy/kitten/dog/ cat food
Milk Bone Dog and Cat treats
This drive will last until early September, with an event at Hound Mound to be scheduled, weather permitting. Also, we are looking to schedule an informational session with animals services for those 15y and older who would like to volunteer with them.
Believe it or not, the High Holy Days are coming up again and CKA needs your voices for the High Holy Day choir! We are looking for new and returning members, This year will be a mix of soloists and choir pieces so there is a lot more flexibility with seating, rehearsals, etc. No experience needed, just a willingness to volunteer your voice and time. CKA's Shabbat Dinner First Shabbat of Every Month
This will be the last scheduled Shabbat Dinner for a while, so be sure to sign up and not miss out.
On the first Shabbat each month through the summer, we invite you to join us for Shabbat Dinner before services. Each month there will be a kosher-style dinner starting at 6:30 pm. The next dinner will be Friday, August 5th.
