Republican Legislators refuse to allow safety signage in gun shops in Dutchess

County Executive
Marcus Molinaro
drives a Luxury SUV
on Tax Payer's Dime

County Comptroller Robin Lois Launches Audit

"Dutchess County taxpayers have paid more than $17,500 for the [County Executive's] car's monthly payments over the past year to lease a luxury SUV issued to Molinaro, who drives a 2021 black Chevrolet Tahoe Premier - a top-of-the-line sport utility vehicle - for $1,347.10 a month from the county's coffers... The county executive insisted his leased 2021 Tahoe is on par with his past vehicles over the last decade as county executive, but his latest SUV is more than two times more expensive to county taxpayers each month than previous vehicles," reports Hudson Valley 360 (full article here

Another less-than-up-front vehicle related activity engaged in by the County Executive, has also been uncovered by Hudson Valley 360: "Dutches County Executive Marcus Molinaro is using a vehicle from a longtime supporter to campaign as the Republican candidate across the 11-county 19th Congressional District, he said, but the campaign has not filed the donations with the U.S. Federal Elections Commission as required since kicking off the bid last September." Some Dutchess County residents will have new representation in the Dutchess County Legislature under new redistricting maps released last week by the Independent Reapportionment Commission (IRC).

An article in the Daily Catch details the changes to the Red Hook and Rhinebeck Legislative Districts.
