Our annual School Picture Day will be on Friday, August 26th.   Students will have their picture taken during their electives classes. Order forms will be available in the office and will also be sent home with students during the second week of school. Picture retakes are scheduled for Tuesday, October 18th.

School Procedures

School begins promptly at 7:45 a.m. Students should not arrive too early as there is no supervision prior to 7:30 a.m. When the weather is nice, the grade level exterior doors will open at 7:30 a.m. each morning with the first bell.  All students are expected to be in their seats and ready to begin class at 7:45 a.m. or they will be marked tardy. Please help us ensure each and every student starts the day off right by being on time! Finally, all students need to leave campus by 3:00 p.m.

Student Drop Off/Pick up: When dropping off or picking up students, please follow the “rules of the road” in our parking lot. Our lot is designed for cars to use the pickup/drop off lanes to pull all the way forward toward the west side of the lot. By doing this, it allows for more students to be dropped off at once and doesn’t crowd the front of the school. We appreciate your support!

Safety & Security at TRMS: Safety and Security are extremely important in our schools! All visitors will be required to show an ID when they arrive. You will be asked to show your ID when you ring the buzzer and possibly again in the office if you are signing a student out. Thank you for helping to keep our students safe.

Lunch Deliveries: If you are bringing lunch food for your student, it needs to be done during their lunch hour.  They will not be allowed to miss class for a late lunch. If it is late, the food will be held in the office until the end  of the day. Students may not order take-out online or by phone during the school day. We do not accept Door Dash deliveries made by parents or students.  Any lunch deliveries must be made by someone who is listed on Infinite Campus.

Cell Phones/Technology Use: Cell phones are not permitted during the school day. This includes lunch, recess, and hallway time.  Cell phones should be turned off and kept in the student’s backpack, if brought to school. Trail Ridge Middle School is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged cell phones. If students bring them to school, it is at their own risk. Families are encouraged to call the office to communicate with their student or contact their student on the SVVSD district email. Earbuds should only be used when given specific teacher direction for them in class. Earbuds are not permitted in hallways or in the commons area.

For a list of student expectations and school procedures, you may review the student handbook on the Trail Ridge website under About-->>Student Handbook or by using the following link: 2022-23 TRMS Student Handbook.

Student iPad Insurance

The LTP Student iPad Insurance window for the 2022-2023 school year opens August 1st and closes on September 15th. Parents who wish to join the insurance pool for this year will need to make at least a partial payment within this window.

This insurance fee will be added on Infinite Campus for every eligible student (K-12) on August 1st. Please note that any student with an unpaid balance for iPad insurance from the previous year will not be eligible to join the pool this year until they pay off the previous year’s balance.

The iPad insurance fee will be reduced or waived for students eligible for a free or reduced price lunch.

School Lunch Program

St. Vrain Valley Schools’ department of Nutrition Services provides quality, nutritious, and well-balanced meals for all students across the district. Due to the expiration of federal pandemic waivers, there will be a cost to school meals for the 2022-2023 school year.

All families who believe they may qualify for free or reduced-price meals are encouraged to fill out an application before August 16 to avoid fees and/or charges upon the start of the school year. Applications are continuously accepted and processed throughout the school year and families are invited to apply or reapply at any time. In addition to receiving school meals at no cost, families receive benefits including fee waivers for school and preschool programming, and discounts on SAT and ACT exams and college applications, utilities and internet service, and participation in community organizations like sports or YMCA programs.

The application is completely confidential and not shared with any other agency or organization.
