“No single institution in Austin can meet all the transportation needs of our seniors, and Chariot depends on volunteers to provide this service. We are often a last resort for clients who can’t otherwise get a ride, but who really need to get to the doctor. I try to drive three to four clients a week because I’m motivated to serve our neighbors, our brothers, and our sisters in the community. Volunteering with Chariot gives me the opportunity to meet a lot of interesting people and hear their stories.”
