Fuel Up. Do Good.

Support HCEOC at the pump!

HCEOC is proud to have been selected as a recipient of the 'Fuel Up. Do Good.' program from Ohana Fuels. Until the end of September, Ohana Fuels will donate a portion of all gas purchases at all Hawaii Island Ohana Fuels stations to HCEOC. See our press release below.

Our benefit period continues through September 30. During this time, we welcome you to support HCEOC by purchasing gas at any of the 14 Ohana Fuels locations on the Big Island.

Senior Farmers Market

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program has distributed over 1,250 market vouchers to hundreds of qualifying low-income seniors in Hawaii County. Although the program was set to run until October 31, due to high participation vouchers were disbursed months before the projected end date.

We are no longer accepting applications for SFMNP 2022, but we do have a waitlist in the chance additional funding becomes available. To add your name, contact SFMNP Manager Cheryl Octavio at 731-7009 or coctavio@hceoc.net.

COMING UP

Attend a car wash this August and September!

As a 2022 beneficiary of the Ohana Fuels 'Fuel Up. Do Good.' program, HCEOC is hosting two car washes in Hilo at the Puainako Ohana Fuels Minit Stop.

On August 14 and September 18 (Sundays), staff will be washing cars and collecting donations between 10 AM and 2 PM. It's common for donations to range from $10 to $20 per car, but we invite you to pay what you will, knowing no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Mahalo to our friends at Ohana Fuels and the Puainako Ohana Fuels Minit Stop for the generous provision of supplies and space for this car wash! Every dollar raised will go directly into boosting our community programs.
