Mental Health First Aid Training
A fundamental part of Mental Health First Aid is listening without judgement. Having the confidence to approach someone and have a conversation can make a huge difference in ensuring they know where to access support and this can prevent a deterioration in mental health.

Workplace MHFA 2-day course
This training is for people who want to be certified as 'Mental Health First Aiders.' Participants learn how to spot the early signs of mental ill health; provide initial help, and guide people to appropriate support. This practical course gives participants the opportunity to practise how to assist and support someone.  Read more.

Workplace MHFA Champions
Completion of this 1-day mental health awareness and skills course qualifies participants as adult MHFA Champions. The session is built around a mental health first aid action plan and includes a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities.  Read more.

Workplace Mental Health Aware Half Day
A 4-hour training course designed to raise awareness of mental health in the workplace, reduce stigma and encourage dialogue. Some organisations encourage all employees to attend this course, with some then going on to qualify as mental health first aiders. Read more.

Scotland's Mental Health First Aid Training

This 2-day course helps delegates to become more informed about how to respond to a mental health crisis. Participants develop skills in listening without judgement, asking appropriate questions; giving reassurance that recovery is possible; and signposting to further help. Read more.

Workplace Mental Health First Aid Refresher Training

Like physical first aiders, mental health first aiders need to periodically refresh their skills.  As well as illustrating a commitment to treating mental health and physical health equally, this training helps to ensure skills and knowledge are updated. Read more.

Higher Education MHFA

Providing a deeper understanding around the issues that relate to student and staff mental health, this 1-day course is suitable for anyone who either works or studies in a higher education environment. Read more.

Youth MHFA

Designed to teach staff, volunteers and parents how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill-health.  The Youth MHFA training gives those who attend the skills and confidence to safely address mental health issues in young people aged 8 to 18, with a strong practical focus on how to support a young person experiencing mental distress. Read more.
