BLESSING OF THE LORD

The Sunday service at the RockLand Baptist Church on June 16, 2022 was full of special joy. First, because the church celebrated Father’s Day, where they blessed and lifted up the men of the congregation. And second, because during this service, three men were ordained as deacons: Pavel Vasilkov, the director of Sunday School, Vladimir Pozhidaev, responsible for the audio ministry, and Yevgeny Utyuzh, who was recently put in charge of the AWANA children’s club. BETHANY, THE OLDEST CHURCH OF THE ASSOCIATION

There are a variety of churches that are part of the Association. Some have more than a thousand members, while some are very small—only a few dozens. But regardless of the size of the church, they have their own church life, they preach the Scriptures, pray, and sing hymns. One such church is Bethany Church, which turns 112 this year. Read more about it on the Association’s website – click this link.

CHOOSE LIFE!

Every day we make dozens of choices. Every day we choose how to act. However, there is a decision that affects our eternity. The members of the Choose Life Church regularly remind California residents about the importance of choosing eternal life. They do it through various means, including preaching at the oceanside. NEW HOPE CHURCH: WE PROCLAIM CHRIST

Taking advantage of every opportunity to preach Christ is what seems to drive the New Hope Church in Rancho Cordova. The “Block Party” and Independence Day parade was a very good way to share the news about salvation, and hand out Gospel tracts to a large number of people. Read more details in an article by Kristina Gofman.

GOOD TRADITION

Choirs visiting churches for the purpose of encouragement and support is an old and good tradition of the Slavic churches. Unfortunately, in the context of immigrants, especially during the time of the pandemic, this good tradition has slowly become a thing of the past. Grace Avenue’s Church’s men’s choir decided to renew this tradition, and on June 26 they visited the House of the Gospel Church in Fresno. For more information about their visit, read here (in Russian only.)

NEWS OF OUR PARTNERS

SUMMIT OF THE RUSSIAN-SPEAKING EVANGELICAL CHURCHES OF EUROPE

Pastors of the post-Soviet Union times, who served in Europe, gathered on June 22-25 in France for an annual summit which was organized by the NRC-EBF (www.spasenie.eu). The theme of the summit was: “The Door of the Gospel Is Wide Open, But…”, a reference to 1 Cor. 16:9, where Paul writes that he has a door wide open in front of him, although there are many opponents. Today there is also much opposition to what God is doing in Europe. Read more information here (in Russian only.)

CAMBODIA – A COUNTRY FULL OF SMILES

This is what the Ukrainian missionaries discovered when they arrived in Cambodia. The locals there rarely use profanities, and smile even when they are guilty. Unfortunately, very few of them know about the true God, and salvation through Jesus Christ. Yevgeniy and Tatyana Evva, along with their two children, came to Cambodia four years ago, and since then they have testified of the wonderful acts of God. But what will happen to their ministry, since the war in Ukraine has made such a tremendous impact? The support from the All-Ukrainian Union of ECB has almost fully been cut off, as well as contributions from the U.S…Could it be that they will be forced to end their ministry? Watch an interview with Yevgeniy on the Association’s YouTube channel..

THE PATH OF KNOWING GOD

Since 1994, the Moscow Theological Seminary of the ECB has been publishing the journal "The Way of the Knowledge of God" (ISSN 1815-8803), which presents the work of students, teachers, and various evangelical authors both from Russia and abroad. The journal is intended for a wide range of readers interested in theological issues. Some of the 2013-2018 editions are available on the seminary’s website (in Russian.)

CONSULTATION MEETING OF REPRESENTATIVES OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

In connection with the termination of the activities of the Euro-Asian Accreditation Association (ЕААА), there was a need to create a new structure that would continue to embody the ideas and goals previously set by the EAAA. From July 6 to 8, 2022, a consultation meeting of representatives of 18 evangelical educational institutions from the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan was held at the Almaty Bible Institute.
