Join Iowa C.O.P.S. in Des Moines on October 15th for the 2022 Black & Blue Ball.
The Black & Blue Ball is the main annual fundraiser for Iowa C.O.P.S. Proceeds are used to help surviving family members and co-workers attend National Police Week in Washington D.C. as well as other specialized survivor retreats throughout the year.
Tickets are available for current and former law enforcement officers, agency support staff, reserve officers, dispatchers and other first responders.
Tickets are $110.00 each or $1,000.00 for a table of 10 (you determine who sits at your table)

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is hosting two days of training on 8/29 and 8/30, being coordinated by the American Jail Association. The training, presented by Col. Brenda Dietzman(Sedgwick County Kansas Retired), will focus on Building Officer Resilience (day 1) and Generational Leaders to Recruit, Retain, and Motivate (day 2) Sessions will be held at our JCSO headquarters in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Registration is available through the American Jail Association website and we hope to see staff from Iowa Sheriff’s Offices present.
SAVE YOUR COUNTY $25.00 PER PERSON BY REGISTERING BEFORE September 7th, 2022
The Jail School will be held September 20th - 23rd, 2022 at the Airport Holiday Inn in Des Moines. The registration fee for attending the Jail School is $125.00 per member before 9-7 ($175.00 after 9-7) or $200.00 per non-member before 9-7 ($250.00 after 9-7). This registration includes lunch on Wednesday and Thursday. If you are staying at the hotel, breakfast is included on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Failure to cancel your registration 7 days prior to the school will result in a 50% cancellation fee.
