July 30th: Christmas in July SHOPPING EVENT in Historic Downtown Sanford
Join us Saturday, July 30th from 10am-6pm for our annual Christmas in July Shopping Event featuring some amazing deals brought to you by the independent retailers of Historic Downtown Sanford!
Enjoy food & drink specials from participating bars and restaurants and spend a great day browsing and shopping on our brick-lined streets!
Be sure to stop by the Sanford Information Center at 230 E 1st St in Historic Downtown Sanford to pick up your shopping passport to enter to win our raffle for local merchants gift cards from our Sanford Mercantile Association.
Don't forget to turn in your fully stamped passport to be entered into the raffle by 6:30pm for our 7pm drawing, at the Sanford Information Center.

It’s that time again, Sanford!

Booking Now: $20 Pilates Discovery Sessions
We wanted to know what Pilates (on a reformer) is all about and booked a Discovery Session with Kirissa, owner at the new Salty AF Pilates studio in Sanford! We had an amazing experience and even though the exercises felt easy and quick, we felt close to every muscle in our body the next day! What a great workout :)
If you are interested, discovery classes are booking now and this is a great way to experience a different way to stay fit and tone your body! Group sessions, semi private and private classes are available!

Friday, July 29th: Critical Mass Sanford
Join us the last Friday of every month for an easy 5 mile ride through downtown Sanford - open to ALL ages and skill level! Ride begins at the Pedal Driven shop at 6:15 and ends at Deviant Wolfe Brewing to enjoy some beer and good company. See you there!

Host Family Needed in Sanford (or surrounding area)
Families wanted to host female Japanese exchange student this fall. Students are 18/19 and will arrive August 14 and depart December 8. Students need a private bedroom and should be dropped off at Seminole State College (in Lake Mary) Monday - Friday at 9am and picked up at 2pm where they will attend English classes. Also some students will attend UCF, same daily schedule. There is a stipend for housing, meals, & transportation. Families should include student in daily routines so they experience the "typical American family" and American culture.

September 10th: Promenade in the Park: Celebrating Sanford Museum's 65th Anniversary
Celebrate the 65 years of the Sanford Museum having its doors open with a picnic! This event is free to the public and we encourage you to wear your interpretation of 19th century clothing.
Play some games of the past such as croquet, badminton, and horseshoes and enjoy snacks.
The Museum will be giving free tours every 30 minutes to the public and there will be a lecture at 1pm about the City of Sanford’s History given by Sanford Museum’s curator, Brigitte Stephenson.
Event will be held both outdoors and indoors at the Museum and Fort Mellon Park!

October 14th-16th: Hollerbach's Oktoberfest in Sanford!
Time to save the dates - 𝐃𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐡'𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 𝐎𝐤𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭, our annual German party in beautiful Historic Downtown Sanford on Oktober 14th, 15th and 16th!
This indoor-outdoor festival at the 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 will feature authentic German food from Hollerbach’s German Restaurant and Market, German beer, wine, Schnapps and desserts, a Kids Zone presented by Ladies 327 of Sanford, and German-style entertainment including polka music, folk instruments, yodeling, and dancing in traditional costumes. This year we'll have two bandstands - one inside and one outdoors - and the King Guys Band and Sonnenschein Express will be returning with their traditional German folk music!
