I just finished hosting two, three day masterclasses with Australian luthier, Trevor Gore, on the subject of modal tuning. 27 students came through the O'Brien Guitars Workshop for the classes. I was looking forward to relaxing a bit after all this. However, I got a call from a student that was in one of the classes and his flight was cancelled and then he caught a cold. Not wanting to fly while sick he decided to make the best of his situation and asked me if I had time to build a guitar together. He figured, as long as I have to stay in Colorado, why don't we build a guitar together. So that is exactly what we did. We built a classical guitar in the white - no finish, in three days. He is now back in Canada with the knowledge from Trevor Gore's modal tuning masterclass and a guitar built  with me based on those teachings. The frequencies on the guitar are exactly what Trevor teaches in his books and now the guitar will get a finish and strings and come to life.
