MAWD SUMMER TOUR HOSTED BY RED RIVER PARTNERS
The Red River Partners Summer Tour will be held August 23-25. We are still working on all the final details. Click here for the event agenda. The primary location for the event is the Canad Inns at Grand Forks, ND. There will be three radio shows broadcasting live. Interviews will be done with board members from partner organizations. On day three, MAWD will be conducting an education/training session. One main topic will be eminent domain featuring speakers Tara Jensen, Wild Rice WD and Tracy Halstensgard, Roseau River WD. We are also working on logistics for MAWD Region 1 and Region 2 meetings. The registration deadline is August 8!

2022 ANNUAL MAWD CONFERENCE
2022 MAWD Annual Conference. The MAWD Events Committee is now calling for abstracts. Speakers are invited to share their knowledge and findings that strengthen the management, protection, and restoration of the water resources in Minnesota, particularly those under the management of local watershed jurisdictions. Time slots for presentations are 30 minutes and should include time for questions. The deadline to submit an abstract is August 26, 2022. Click here to submit your work.
2022 SALT SYMPOSIUM

The Salt Symposium 2022 celebrates the optimization of necessary salt use to improve community sustainability and protect vital freshwater systems and infrastructure. The symposium promotes practices that mitigate salt impact. The online event will be held on August 2-3. Click here to register for this event.

MINNESOTA ASSOCIATION OF DRAINAGE INSPECTORS (MADI)
MADI will be holding its Summer Conference and Association Meeting on August 17 and 18 at the Broadway Ballroom Event Center in Alexandria. Click here for the meeting agenda.
11th INTERNATIONAL DRAINAGE SYMPOSIUM
The 11th International Drainage Symposium will be held August 30 to September 2 in Des Moines, Iowa. Two days of sessions will highlight drainage research, practice design, implementation, and policy. The third day of the symposium will feature field tours highlighting some of the innovative drainage work happening locally. To learn more about this event, click here.
