DAPTC 2022 AGM | Thank you for taking part in the 'Snap Poll' on the best format for this year's event in November. We have had a good level of response and clear outcome, which is in favour of an online format as the previous two years. SEE THE RESULTSThe snap poll is now closed.
The poll has highlighted that those supporting an in person AGM are clearly missing the interaction and networking opportunity this offers. To satisfy that desire we have today spoken to Kingston Maurward to provisionally hold 9th March 2023 for a Councillors' Networking Event. Please make a note in your diaries.

All Dorset Council area Town and Parish Councils and meetings should have received a newsletter from Dorset Council this week giving full details of the Dorset Stage of the Tour of Britain. Dorset is hosting the penultimate stage of the Britain's leading cycle race on Saturday 10th September 2022.
Stage seven of the race will take the riders from West Bay to Ferndown via one of the most stunning routes in Tour history. Stage seven will run parallel with the West Dorset Heritage coast before passing through Dorchester, West Lulworth and Corfe Castle. The route heads inland towards Wareham, Milton Abbas and Wimborne Minster and loops round into the heart of Ferndown town centre.
Check out theNewsletterfor all the information and links you need to find out more about the event and make sure you are aware of road closures and opportunities to watch the race.
2. NALC are keen to hear your views on Short Term Holiday Lets
The Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has recently launched a consultation into short term holiday lets. The aim of the consultation is to garner potential solutions, including measuring regulation, to fix the problems caused across England by short term property lettings. Take a look at the NALC Policy Consultation briefing note here. The date for you to get your views over to NALC is Tuesday 30th August 2022 by 5pm. This deadline will give NALC time to pull together all the responses they receive nationally and submit their response in time for the consultation closure in September 2022.
