What does it mean to be a woman in this current climate? Gender inequality coupled with the climate crisis poses threats to ways of life, livelihoods, health, safety, security, and rights for women and girls around the world. Women in the rural areas in the global South are especially vulnerable. Gender perspective and knowledge are key to driving short and long-term solutions. Women must have a say in the setting of overall adaptations, priorities, and strategies used to combat climate change.

The explosion of new galleries in New York and LA continues- just like the increase in Black Art Sales. The question is still the same: sustainability and longevity.
This month, I will spend time relooking at our Crown Heights space to consider pivoting it to a gallery space. It was a notion in 2020 and I held off. It will add just about 300 square feet of space but it will be a Brooklyn hub. 2 new galleries opened on Franklin Avenue - I remember hoping for them 3 years ago. So, it's time to explore that option again.
And since I got one to start the Crown Heights Art Walk - I can spend the time working on what the gallery will be there and also how to begin audience development over the next 6 months before considering opening. SO, yes - more galleries - but maybe in Brooklyn -
