The timeless appeal of LINDISFARNE continues to defy all expectations as the band announce a year of relentless touring for 2023. Led by original founder member Rod Clements, the well-loved & respected North East band are performing to sold out venues and are planning a year of dates that will take in all corners of the UK, bringing (in the words of the title track of their hit album Dingly Dell, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year) their unique brand of Magic In The Air to fans old and new.

Two of the greatest jazz guitarists in the world, Martin Taylor & Ulf Wakenius have joined forces for an unforgettable live show. They bring with them a unique legacy in European jazz from years of touring and recording with Stephane Grappelli and Oscar Peterson.

Martin Taylor worked with Stephane Grappelli for 11-years, filling the guitar chair for Django Reinhardt while Ulf Wakenius worked with Oscar Peterson for 10-years, filling the guitar chair for Joe Pass, Herb Ellis and Barney Kessel. In addition to that Taylor and Wakenius have also collaborated with greats including Pat Metheny, Herbie Hancock, Jeff Beck, George Harrison, Mike Brecker, Jamie Cullum, Ray Brown and Michel Legrand to name just a few.

Fishclaw Announce Music Creation App - 'ASH'

"Geocaching for music" - Fishclaw
Cinematic techno folk band Fishclaw have been instrumental in creating an innovative new app, which blurs the boundaries between artist and audience.

ASH uses environmental data alongside your smart phone’s sensors to create music. Open the app, put on a pair of headphones and go for a walk. It reacts to a mixture of GPS, elevation, weather, phenological calendar and biodiversity. Triggering musical loops and creating a unique immersive experience for each user. Think silent disco meets Pokémon Go then add a few additional features.

Merging real world data within an augmented reality ASH connects the user to their landscape and helps highlight the impact of global climate change and local environmental issues (including Ash dieback). The soundtrack of ASH features spoken word, field recordings and of course Fishclaw's unique brand of cinematic folk and can be introduced as part of the bands live show or as a stand alone interactive event activity.

“Kekete Bue”, which means "The end of a story", is the first new album from legendary Congolese musician Kanda Bongo Man since 2010, and his first vinyl release in over two decades. 

The master of soukous - the infectious and up-tempo guitar-driven music from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kanda’s new album features new tracks alongside reinterpretations of some of his classic songs. Kanda takes his news music, and old, to WOMAD 2022 by special invitation from the festival for the 40^th Anniversary as one of the original performers from all those years ago. “Kekete Bue” is officially released on July 29^th on the No Wahala Records label, and through their distributor Kudos.

Join frontman Mark Morriss alongside band mate Adam Devlin as they offer fans a two set different slant on favourites such as  ’Bluetonic’, ‘Slight Return’, ‘Marblehead Johnson’ and ‘Cut Some Rug’

Jon Gomm - voted the world No1 acoustic guitarist by Music Radar is an acoustic singer-songwriter with a revolutionary virtuoso guitar style, where he uses one acoustic guitar to create drum sounds, bass lines and twisting melodies all at the same time.

The emphasis is still on the soulful vocals and song writing, and his original material is influenced by everything from Robert Johnson to Radiohead. His live shows combine deeply personal, emotive performances and a natural wit, with a once seen, never forgotten two-handed guitar style, both physical and complex, producing sounds people can barely believe are coming from a humble acoustic guitar.

On the back of being nominated, and subsequently winning, the prestigious ‘Bob Harris Emerging Artist’ award at the UK AMA’s earlier this year, Lauren Housley and her band have put plans in place for the next 18 months. Beginning with a run of Christmas dates this year 1^st through to 17^th as either duo or band to close 2022.

Lauren is showcasing at the  UK AMA’s  in London in Jaunary, and around this time will tour with Australian troubadour, Nigel Wearne.

Festivals and a winter tour in 2023 will follow to promote her brand new album which is set for releasee next summer.
