DOWNTOWN OKC BID ADVISORY BOARD
AUGUST 17 | APPLY TO SERVE

The Downtown Oklahoma City Business Improvement District (BID) is now accepting applications for the BID Advisory Board. The BID Advisory Board oversees the BID which manages, maintains, and markets the downtown area. In order to serve, applicants must understand and meet the following requirements:

Applicants must own property within the BID boundary or be the designated representative of a property owner within the BID boundary.
New board member terms begin October 1, 2022.
Terms are two years and may be renewed twice for a total of 6 consecutive years of service. The BID Board meets 6 times per year.

Those interested in serving should complete and submit the BID Advisory Board Member Application Form . Applications must be received no later than Wednesday, August 17. If you have questions, please email info@downtownokc.com. For more information on the downtown BID, visit downtownokc.com/bid.

FAMILY DISCOVERY WEEK

The Oklahoma City Museum of Art is currently hosting SONIC Family Discovery Week through August 7 which consists of daily art-making activities, special screenings of New York International Children’s Film Festival Kid Flicks, and story time with the Metropolitan Library System!

BREVE HISTORIA DEL TIEMPO OPENING
AUGUST 4 | OKLAHOMA CONTEMPORARY

Join Oklahoma Contemporary this Thursday, August 4 from 6-8pm for the opening reception of Breve historia del tiempo, a monumental outdoor sculpture from Guadalajara’s Gonzalo Lebrija.

Breve historia del tiempo, which will stand in Campbell Art Park at the top of Automobile Alley, is a 2,500-pound Plymouth Duster that appears to be suspended vertically over a pool of water. It’s presented as part of La casa que nos inventamos: Contemporary Art From Guadalajara, which opens at a later date at Oklahoma Contemporary on September 23.
