2022-2023 Edition- What You Need to Know:
- Updated certification requirements by role (pp. 8-9)
- The role of START Program Leadership in Certification (pp. 9-10)
- The Attestation Form must be completed within 3 months of the end of the Coordinator’s CTG (p. 10, 16)
- Coordinators will have an 8-week orientation period prior to beginning a CTG. This will provide ample time for an orientation to the model, their START program, and to build a caseload (pp. 10, 12). Questions about the 8-week orientation period should be directed to your START program leadership.
- Case presentations do not need to utilize the CET Case Presentation Summary as the format for the presentation. Each presentation must include the reason for referral, an ecomap, aspects of PERMA and next steps in addition to categories and principles outlined on the feedback form (p. 11)
- Updated START Coordinator Case Presentation Feedback Form - now in a more concise format
- Case presentations may occur during an NCSS program visit but the Coordinator must still participate in providing feedback to others during CTG final session (p. 11)
- NEW INFOGRAPHIC: Describing the collaborative learning between NCSS and START programs in supporting development of START coordinators (p. 12)
- Updated phases of training (pp. 14-19)
- Definition of “Approved document”: An approved document that qualifies for certification is one that can be approved with minimal changes to content after one review (p. 8)
- Definition of “case conceptualization”: A summary of key facts about a person and their system of support that includes demographic/historical information, reason for referral, a summary of biopsychosicial strengths and vulnerabilities, and cultural factors along with how these key facts inform impressions and service planning (p. 24)
