Rise Up! Pride Event

Station Square
August 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Southeast Idaho Pride Foundation is seeking volunteers to help our Pride event be a terrific success! The following is a call for volunteers.

How many UUs are available and ready to help?
Let's have a strong UU turnout, as we live our values by action.

As a volunteer we would only expect you to work part of that time, most likely in shifts of 1-2 hours. We will also need help with events we will be holding at a bar (more details to come) and with the Friday night
dinner/cocktail party the night before pride.

Individual tasks we need volunteers to do are:

- Assisting with setup/breakdown of vendors' tents
- Helping set up the big tents, stages, and other structures
- Helping unload vendors' cars and showing them to their assigned spaces
- Staffing volunteer stations that people can call on when they need help and/or questions answered
- Stage hands to assist performers
- Volunteers to assist in our 21+ areas (these areas will be serving alcoholic drinks and featuring more risqué vendors and performers)
- Volunteers to help inside Station Square, which will be designated a more quiet area as well as having an STI testing station
- Stamping hands
- Checking IDs at all entrances to the 21+ areas
- Roaming volunteers who can assist with various tasks/answer questions people might have
- Tip takers

All volunteers will be granted free access to the next day Sunday Brunch event! Tickets to this would normally cost $40, and the event includes a buffet, drinks, and a performance by the Comedy Project!

If you are interested, please email Jess Attebery at queerclubidaho@gmail.com and include what times you are available as well as which tasks you would be interested in helping with.

Thank you, and Happy Pride!

"We cannot thank you enough for thinking of us during "Idaho Gives." We are so touched by your congregation's generosity! As you know, all funds we received during Idaho Gives were matched 1:1. We appreciate that we share the same values when it comes to environmental issues."
