Whats been happening at Loved & Shared...

The process for recruitment of the Loved & Shared Executive Officer went extremely well. Whilst we aren't in a position to announce any details regarding an appointment this month, we are very close to being able to share some exciting news with you. We thankyou for your patience regarding this announcement.

Much of the workload that has kept us busy this past month has been a continuation of work we have announced in previous newsletters. This has included the EO recruitment, fundraising and grant applications, grant acquittals, warehouse setup, systems development, governance documents and more. Two key items we have progressed for the warehouse setup this month have been organising heating and cooling solutions so that volunteers will be able to work in comfort, and having an OHS review to ensure our warehouse is setup as a safe and functional space for all those who venture into it.

We would like to recognise and thank all of the amazing people and businesses that have supported us thus far. Particularly those who have provided us with pro-bono support, we can't thank you enough. Some of these amazing businesses are: South West Tafe and Hello Design for our early branding and graphic design work, and more recently Jody and Amy from Mr Walter for our beautiful graphics. Jessica MacPherson for providing us with her endless knowledge as the founder of St Kilda Mums, and also through her new charity Blaze Your Trail for assisting us with our website setup and integrating this with our CRM platform. Star Printing for all of our print needs thus far and the wonderful team at Cassign for signage to be installed at our warehouse, Gavan from Cooper Hardiman for assisting with EO recruitment. And finally, Steve Laidlaw for our OHS review of our warehouse as mentioned above. We can't thank these amazing businesses enough for their generosity.

Remember that you can find us at www.lovedandshared.org.au. This is where our service users can contact us, where you can register interest to become a volunteer and where you can make any other general enquiries.

If you have any queries regarding any of the newsletter items above or anything else at all, please email us at info@lovedandshared.org.au.

Our Regional Need

20% of the population aged 0-8 in the region are considered vulnerable on 1 or more of the 5 critical childhood development criteria, this is significantly higher than the state average.

We aim to save 3+ tonnes of good quality items going to landfill every year.

Local data from four LGAs (Warrnambool, Moyne, Southern Grampians & Corangamite), confirm that 1 in 5 children live in poverty.

Loved & Shared is a community project initiated by Leadership Great South Coast 2020 Program Participants.

Please forward this on to anyone who might be interested. We are keen to build up our distribution list prior to recruitment of volunteers.
