RGYC Sailors Heading Overseas

RGYC Member Riley Cantwell is off to the ILCA 4 Youth World Championships in Vilamoura, Portugal. The event currently has 439 entries from 44 countries, with racing scheduled to begin on August 15th.

Results will be available on the event website.

Susannah Gillham and Andrew Butler are on their way to Ireland for the upcoming Fireball World Championships. The following Fireball Worlds will be held here at RGYC in February, 2024.

Member Rostering - Winter Series, 30th July

We are extremely short for the race team on 14th August. Driver & crews needed for Mark boat, Rescue 2 & Mark Preparation. If you can do any of these duties, please do so via the Volunteer tab in Dutyman.

Winter Racing Season

Powerboat Handling & First Aid Courses

The Sailing Academy is after expressions of interest for both the Powerboat Handling and Provide First Aid & CPR courses.

Both of these courses are pre-requisites for becoming a dinghy instructor and highly recommended for anyone spending time on a course or safety boat.

Powerboat Handling
Improve your boat handling skills, especially in confined areas such as Marinas and in swell and waves. You will also learn more about types of craft, and navigation. This is also a prerequisite qualification for becoming a dinghy instructor.

Provide First Aid and Provide CPR - Expression of Interest

Wednesday 10^th August at 6pm.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (Include CPR) – $110
Part online and part classroom
3 hours e-Learning (must be completed prior to the face-to-face)
4 hours face to face

HLTAID009 Provide CPR – $65
1 hours e-Learning (must be completed prior to the face-to-face)
2 hours face to face
