End of July, and what a July!!

here's my latest studio news.
A few bits of good art news from Delta, Colorado-
on the Western Slope.

A drive to Telluride over the mountains from my Delta home, landing at the AhHaa School for the Arts to teach two workshops on alternate Saturdays. One was the 'Introduction to Monoprint' class which I love to share, using the two new and fabulous Conrad presses that were recently installed there.  Two weeks later we dived into 'Nature Monoprinting' with a big bag full of early morning cuttings from my front garden and a class of engaged artists. This time it was hand printing because not all of you have a press in your workroom…do you?

Here is a peek at the new edition I have recently created by hand rubbing. This is KIMONO, a woodcut I carved in Denver before the Pandemic shut things down. My original intention was to use this very large block in a Steamroller-Print event for Mo-Print Festival. However, Omicron had other ideas and the whole project was shut down.
Now I have returned to the block and decided, due to its length that I will hand rub it rather than try to jimmie it through my press....too tricky for my skill level.

Repeat collectors,  Michael and Karie, made a purchase of #2 in the edition of 10 and so I set about hand printing more of them to prepare myself for the success of additional sales. Here it is, Kimomo, size 23"w x 66" on Okawara paper. Available unframed on my website.
