Catie Masey's summer project helped beat the heat at the NPAT office by converting our old cistern into a pond. The plants came from Green Star Wetland Plant Farm in Alvin.

The Texas Coastal Prairie Conference

THE EARLY BIRD RATE ENDS TODAY! The Texas Coastal Prairie Conference: Preserving Lands and Legacies is happening on October 28 and 29 at the University of Houston - Clear Lake. It includes a full day of workshops and presentations, followed by field trips to remnant and restored prairies as well as working ranches and farms. Girls at Camp!

Director of Education, Della Barbato led a Girls Summer Camp during the week of June 27. It was facilitated with UHCL’s Environmental Institute of Houston. Ten area high-school aged girls attended the camp. This camp sought to address this lack of knowledge and awareness by students of the ecology, history and services provided by native coastal prairies and wetlands.. Read more...
