Department Spotlight: Section 8

The Section 8 Department, led by Jessica Ganus, is a Federally Funded program created to assist lower income individuals and families in obtaining safe and decent housing, enabling these households to live and work within the City of Peekskill. Throughout this year, the Section 8 Department has continued its efforts to help get more applicants on the program, educate real estate agencies about the Housing Choice Voucher Program, conduct inspections to ensure tenant safety as well as quality control inspections for owners to ensure units are meeting housing quality standards, and continuing to ensure that rents for units are fair and within rent reasonableness.

For more information about our Section 8 Department, please visit their website or call (914) 734-4216.
