Green Advantage
NEW Fully-Funded Sustainability Support for Business Professionals

Green Advantage is a new short course to upskill business leaders and professionals, growing their awareness and understanding of climate and environmental challenges and giving them the skills to build sustainability strategies relevant for their sector and role.
 
Lasting 12 weeks, and designed to be taken alongside a full-time role, the programme is delivered in an online or blended peer learning environment. Participants will also receive five hours of one-to-one business coaching to support with the development of a Sustainability Roadmap which can be implemented to make a positive change in their working environment.


Start dates are available between October 2022 and March 2023. Email centreforgrowth@aston.ac.uk or complete our short expressions of interest form, and a member of the team will be in touch to provide more details about the programme.

Help to Grow: Management Course Information Sessions and Networking Lunch

Have your questions answered about the Help to Grow: Management Course at our upcoming information sessions.

Join us for an information event that offers an opportunity to learn more about how the national Help to Grow: Management Course at Aston Business School can support your business growth plans.


This 12-module course, introduced by the Government, is designed to help small and medium sized businesses across the UK learn new skills, reach new customers and boost profits. The course combines a practical curriculum, with one-to-one support from a business mentor, peer-learning sessions and an alumni network. The cost to attend is also 90% funded by the Government. Participants pay £750. Register now for a September start.

Please note: 

Companies with 10 or more employees may now register up to two of their leadership team to take part in the course. Companies that have already completed the programme may now send another senior leader if they have 10 employees or more.

Business leaders who completed the Small Business Leadership Programme can now register for the programme too.

Free 1-2-1 Mentoring Programme

The Aston Business Mentoring Programme is a new Centre for Growth initiative delivered in partnership with the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP Growth Hub and part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). An integral part of the regional bounce-back effort, this fully funded programme is designed to support ambitious small business leaders to increase productivity and position their enterprise for growth through structured peer-led 1-2-1 mentoring.
