Transplant Games of America

Fifteen members of Team Buffalo traveled to San Diego for the Transplant Games of America, which took place from July 29 through August 3. The mission of the Transplant Games is to increase awareness of the life-restoring importance of organ, cornea, bone marrow, and tissue donation through the lives of the athlete-recipients and the lasting legacy of their donors.
Team Buffalo's members won more than 25 medals in this year's competitions. Athletes and supporters also had opportunities to connect with old friends and make new friends among the transplant recipients, donor families, living donors and others from around the country.
Congratulations to Team Buffalo for a great showing at the 2022 Games and welcome home!

Walk for Kidney Health is Aug. 21

The Walk for Kidney Health helps build our local kidney community, supports people with kidney disease and celebrates organ donation. Sign up at kfwny.org/walk to join in the activities on Sunday, August 21 at the Buffalo Outer Harbor.
Thanks to our gold sponsors, Atwal Eye Care, the Cayuga Nation and Pegula Sport + Entertainment, we're looking forward to having even more patients, families, medical professionals and supporters than last year. Walk teams have been busy raising funds for health outreach, patient support and advocacy programs.
Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Contact Jeremy Morlock at jmorlock@kfwny.org or call 716-529-4393 to learn more.
