Backpacks Will Be Ready for Pickup August 18th & 25th
Along with our wonderful volunteers, we are preparing the backpacks and school supplies that have been donated so far to our Backpack Drive for distribution on two different dates: August 18th and August 25th at the Rise Home Office at 219 Franklin Street in Hightstown. To pick up a backpack for your child, you must bring their most recent report card from last year. This will allow us to verify their correct school supply requirements and provide them with an age appropriate backpack full of supplies to help them succeed in the coming school year.
Join Us for This Year's Art Walk on August 10th!
Join us on Wednesday, August 10th from 4 to 6pm for our Annual Art Walk! Throughout the 6 week Rise Summer Enrichment program, scholars have been working together to create large scale artworks, collaborate on ideas, and develop into a community of artists. Each piece that you will see in this year’s art walk was designed and produced by several scholars working together to complete a series of pieces that demonstrate how "Together We Rise". We believe in creating an inclusive community where each and every artist can share their talents! The final pieces will be on display in several local businesses throughout downtown. We are proud to share our love, creativity, and art with the greater East Windsor/Hightstown community! We hope to see you there!

July Community Impact by the Numbers

Every day, our mission is to help our neighbors in whatever way we can.  In July, we had 1,415 visits to the food pantry by 475 local families. We distributed 12,904 bags of food to local families, and handed out 65 bags of pet food.  430 bags of baby supplies for new parents were given to those in need.  314 of our Rise volunteers donated 2,640 hours of their time.  Our efforts are made possible by donations that we receive and by our amazing volunteers.  We want you to know that you are making a huge difference in the lives of people around you who may be struggling, and lifting up your entire community.  If you want to help us make these numbers grow, you can donate to Rise at https://njrise.org/donate. Want to make even more of an impact? Become a Rise Good Neighbor and pledge to make a recurring monthly contribution that helps us better manage our budget and know that we are ready to take action when needs arise outside of our normal fundraising schedule, which has become our reality in recent years.
