The 55-mile Derwent Valley Heritage Way showcases the proud beauty and heritage of Derbyshire’s River Derwent and its surrounding landscapes. Commencing from Ladybower Reservoir in the Peak District National Park, the route enjoys excellent views of the Derbyshire Dales, visiting such iconic landmarks as Chatsworth House and the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, before coming to a graceful end in the historic inland port of Shardlow.

Dartmoor Walking Festival:

27th August – 4th September

Commencing in 2016, Dartmoor’s annual walking festival has been a great success and continues to receive very positive feedback, growing year on year while raising vital funds for the Devon Air Ambulance charity.


This year’s nine-day festival will feature a range of activities designed to include everyone, from modest guided strolls to full day walks, as well as a number of accessible events for the less mobile in partnership with the Disabled Ramblers Association.
