GROWMARK Global Challenges Seminar

The GROWMARK Global Challenges Seminar took place July 20th-22nd in Chicago. The class started the seminar touring Nutrien in Marseilles and better understood the global market with farming nutrients. We then went to Eli's Cheesecake. They were gracious hosts with a fantastic dinner and their leadership team discussed their roles in the organization. Thursday's speakers included Theresa Mintle on her leadership journey, GROWMARK's  Executive Director of Governmental Relations, and The Chicago Food Depository's Senior Director of Marketing Jim Conwell. We rounded the day out with Marc Beckmann from Microsoft. Friday's seminar was held at CNH's Global headquarters in Burr Ridge, where we had Jason Czapka (IALP '20) and Gerry Salzman (IALP '92) give us a tour of the site, and then Jason gave us a presentation on CNH and their history.
The Class poses in their safety gear outside of Nutrien before moving on to Eli's Cheesecake. Also shown is IALF President, Todd Lowery, with Senior Vice President of Operations for Eli's Cheesecake, Jeff Anderson (IALP '10)
Shown are Theresa Mintle, Interim Vice-Chancellor, The University of Illinois at Chicago, former President and CEO, Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, and Chuck Spencer, GROWMARK Executive Director Government Relations.
