So I guess the previous photo posted in this newsletter belonged to Theriault's which I was unaware of because I found it on Pinterest and I was under the impression that any photo on the internet is free game as long as it is being used for educational and not commercial purposes. In order to remove it from all the facebook pages it was posted on, I have to delete the posts. This newsletter replaces the previous newsletter but with updates and corrections.

August 2022 Newsletter
School is already starting next week herein Tucson AZ. Please be aware of those "school time" rules. 1. School zones go from one sign to the other, NOT after the crosswalk. 2.Follow the speed limit within those school zones. 3. No passing in school zones. This means if there are two lanes going in the same direction side by side, do not pass the vehicle in the other lane within the school zone. 4. Never ever pass a standing school bus on the left to get around unless the driver waves you on. You never know when a kid is going to go around the front of the bus and cross the street. Have a safe school year!
We are gearing up for the fall season. It is looking better than ever for live events and even though some are no longer continuing after covid, many are continuing not to mention some new events showing up here and there.
With inflation and rising fees for venues, it is more important than ever to support our events. Whether you are a buyer or seller, we all need to work together to keep the live events going. Keep in mind, these events are for you. If you are a seller, get your table fees in as soon as you possibly can. Many advertising deadlines are months before the events. Printing (contracts/flyers/postcard) costs have increased substantially. Postage just recently went up over 9% ! ($.44 for postcards and $.60 for 1st class letters).
Word of mouth really remains the BEST form of advertising. Let your doll clubs and friends know about local events, print and pass out flyers in your area or send out a few post cards to your friends. If you are on Facebook, like/follow/share.
Promoters simply CANNOT do it all. A little bit of effort is all it takes on everyone's part. It is my sincere hope that we can all come together to make all the events successful and if there is anyway I can help, please do not hesitate to ask.

Starting in September, I will be working on email lists. If you are receiving this email more than once either with different emails or just duplicates, please unsubscribe the invalid email.
FYI, Unfortunately, Facebook continues to make changes that are not only unnecessary but causing more confusion thus making tasks that took a few minutes to taking 10 times longer. Just letting everyone know that it may get to a point where I have to let some Facebook services go. I will keep you all updated as we go.
Please keep in mind that not all events opted for a deluxe listing with an ad. There are many other events with a basic listing posted on the site. Be sure you look over the <Event Schedule> for those listing.
