Morecambe Bay Celebrity Art Competition

Bring your entries along to the Fair on Saturday 13th August. The theme is "Morecambe Celebrity" e.g. Tyson Fury, Eric Morecambe, Thora Hird, John Osborne etc Anyone can enter and works will be exhibited on the stage with a prize of £200, free picture framing and a free stand on next year's Art Fair.

MAC members are invited to sell work via the MAC stall at the Fair

Framed pieces should be strung ready for hanging and dropped off at the Fair between 12 and 2 pm on the Saturday - it may also be left in advance at More Music between 10 am and 4:30 pm during the week - please also leave a list of work left. ALL UNSOLD WORK MUST BE COLLECTED FROM THE STALL AT 4 PM ON THE SUNDAY. Please ake sure work is labelled with name, contact details and selling price. There will be a commission of 30% taken.
We would also welcome help on the MAC stall - if you can spare a few hours during the show, please let us know when dropping of work on the Saturday.

Even if already booked online, participants must register at the Morecambe Artist Colony gazebo on Saturday 3rd September from 10.00am.
The festival activities start at 11am.
Don’t want to book online in advance? That’s fine, you can just turn up on the day, but make sure you register at the gazebo from 10.00am.
3pm - return your finished painting
4.30pm - prize giving.
Please note - in the event of bad weather, the event may be moved to Sunday 4th September.

Morecambe Artist Colony offers two levels of membership:
Membership: Costs just £12 per annum. Members have a profile on the MAC website, receive email news updates, have their work promoted on our social media, and the opportunity to participate in MAC exhibitions, collaborate on projects and have full voting rights at AGMs.
Associate Organisation: For up to 3 Memberships from a single organisation such as a gallery, arts event planning company or creative production company. Costs £20 per annum. Organisations have a profile on the MAC website, have their work promoted on our social media, receive regular news updates, event and private view invitations and have a single voting right at AGMs.
