  August 2022 Newsletter

The next Men's Weekend will be Sept. 22-25, 2022 and the next Women's Weekend will be Oct. 13-16, 2022.  The lay rectors will be Dan Sweet and Shanona Piegat respectively.
Please tell all of the men and women that have touched your life about cursillo and how truly life changing these weekends can be.

Planning for the fall 2022 Weekends is under way and we need all the help we can get especially assistance with meals, set up and clean up!  Please consider a Cursillo Ministry to help others find the joy and fire in their hearts for Jesus!  We really need your help. There are many areas that could use Leaders and helpers in many different ways.  Please consider this when deciding on ways to help.  You can help for just a couple of hours or be a part of a committee!  Being a part of the Cursillo Movement is a true and real ministry.  Many hands are needed. If you can help, please contact Gabrielle (Gabe) Cubberley at gabecub@gmail.com. Here is a list of the teams and the work they do:

Pre-Cursillo Team outreach and information about the Cursillo Movement
*Parish liaisons - current cursillista to be a contact person in their parish for outreach and promotion of the Cursillo Movement and for recruitment of potential candidates
*Outreach team - planning and presenting information about the movement in the parishes - handouts, bulletin notices, gathering
3-Day Weekend - responsible for all work necessary for a successful Cursillo weekend from start to finish.
*Meal teams - volunteers to bring in and/or prepare meals for the weekend
*Kitchen team - working in the kitchen during the weekend; meals to prepare, set out, serve food and clean up afterward
*Set up team - workers to set up all necessary spaces and materials necessary for the weekend; chapels, Sala de Rollo, dining room, sleeping quarters, etc. (need to be available on the day prior to and the opening day for the weekend)
*Clean up team - workers to take down all of the spaces, pack up and reset the facility to their specifications (begins on Sunday afternoon and following the closing)

Post - Cursillo - Maintains contact and programs for the Cursillista community
*Ultreya team - Assisting the Post - Cursillo chairpersons with establishing Ultreya gatherings (arranging for the site - possibly by County, dates and arranging for the Rollista)
*4th Day Awareness Team - making contact with new Cursillistas after the 4th day gathering, contacting existing group reunion groups, assisting with groups to "reboot" their reunion meetings, helping Cursillistas to find a group reunion.
*Communications team - persons to help develop, send out, gather or monitor information to Cursillistas - could be flyers, bulletin notices, newsletter, the website or social media

Please look inside your heart and be of assistance where you think you would be a good fit for your time and talents.

The Lord bless you and keep you!  The Lord let His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you!  The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace!  Numbers 6:24-26

Do not let your hearts be troubled.  You have faith in God; have faith also in me.  In my Father's house there are many dwelling places.  If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?  John 14:1-2
