The American Guild of Judaic Art's annual Karen Walanka online exhibition is open for submissions. This year’s theme is TIKVAH/HOPE. We have had a rough few years behind us with the pandemic and its impact on our artist communities. We have a lingering fear that it’s not over yet and may rear its ugly head again. We have new fears that a big war might be looming on the horizon. Our climate is changing, perhaps faster than we can correct it. What is our answer to that as an artist? As a Jew? In spite of the hardships and losses so common in our Jewish history, we are still here because we have never lost hope in a better world.  We look forward to seeing your personal expressions of TIKVAH. The online exhibition is open to all professional artists, including current and Chaverim members of the American Guild of Judaic Art as well as non-members. It is expected that this exhibit will run for one year online on our website. 2D and 3D work in any medium (traditional and non-traditional) will be considered. Work should be created within the last five (5) years. Artists may submit up to three digital images of their work. Deadline to submit: September 26, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Exhibit opens November 7, 2022. Submit: www.jewishart.org/walanka-call/
