It's been some time since we've been in touch. Some of you get news of the Green Party in New York from the GPNY email updates, but we want to reconnect with our Greens in Brooklyn and get back to staying in touch more often.

Here in Brooklyn, and throughout the state, Greens are petitioning for representation at the statewide level. We have three more weeks to collect the required number of signatures for our county. YOUR signature is needed to make this a successful effort. We'll have a Green Party member come to your workplace or home, or meet you at a convenient place, to get your signature. Many of you know that the Hawkins-Mattera gubernatorial slate petitions were challenged by two Jay Jacobs Democratic committee hacks from Nassau County. As a result, the Commissioners at the NYS Board of Elections ruled our petitions invalid and therefore not eligible to be on the ballot in November. GPNY, in a joint lawsuit with the NY Libertarian Party, is still pursuing legal relief, but for the present, the Green Party of New York is no longer a ballot status party.

We strongly believe that the Green Party message and platform are resonating with voters and are needed more than ever to address the climate crisis, income inequality, health disparities, lack of housing, and systemic racism plaguing our state and the nation.
