Florida Swim School meets and exceeds Minimum Standards for Domestic Swim School Membership.
Formal learning is learning that is delivered in a systematic intentional way.
It’s planned and guided by an instructor/trainer.
Tip of the Month
Practice Water Safety Always
Be informed, not surprised.
Using safety in and around water during vacation:
If you are not able to use touch supervision with your child under age 4 or who is not swimming unassisted for ages 4 and over at all times, please use a Flotation Device that is stamped:
“US Coast Guard Approved”
Not Safe:
Children demonstrating roll over or side breathing need to be supervised by an adult who is assigned to watch. 
Skill of the Month
Kicking!
Kicking properly allows for less effort
Legs should be positions behind the body
Fins assist kicking by forcing correct motion
Drowning is Preventable
Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children ages 4 and younger.
Drowning is the second cause of accidental death in children ages 14 and younger.
Reduce the statistics by enrolling in swim lessons.
88% of child drownings occur with at least 1 adult present.
