The SAFCEI Board and team cordially invite you to this year's virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 18 August 2022 from 5 PM (SAST). Highlights and achievements from the previous year will be shared, as well as general updates.
We are thrilled to announce that the keynote address will be given by world-renowned environmentalist Dr Vandana Shiva.
Vandana Shiva is an Indian scholar, environmental activist, food sovereignty advocate, ecofeminist and anti-globalisation author. Shiva founded Navdanya, an Earth and women centric movement for seed saving, biodiversity, conservation and the rights of farmers. In 1993, she received the Right Livelihood Award, commonly known as the “Alternative Nobel Prize.” Shiva is often referred to as "Gandhi of grain" for her activism associated with the anti-GMO movement.
