News from Jesuit Colleges and Universities
Students may be off campus right now, but our schools are still busy engaging with their local communities and hosting visitors! Here are a few recent highlights:
  • Boston College hosted a summit of the International Association of Jesuit Engineering Schools
  • Fordham University hosted the FBI and NSA directors as part of the ninth International Conference on Cyber Security
  • Gonzaga University partnered with local community volunteers to map urban "heat islands" on campus and throughout Spokane
  • Saint Louis University students created and hosted an Earth, Wind and Water summer camp for local high school students
  • The University of Scranton received TV coverage from its local ABC affiliate for a program that helps to prepare local first-generation high school students for college by bringing them to campus 
More news from our schools: Fairfield University announced record-breaking application and enrollment figures for the Class of 2026; Georgetown University received a gift to support the first joint undergraduate degree program between its McDonough School of Business and Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service; John Carroll University's senior director of athletics received an honorary ESPY award in conjunction with the national ESPY awards; a Marquette University professor received a $4.2M grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to research methane-reduction technology; and Rockhurst University launched a new Hawk Scholars program to support first-generation, Pell and under-represented students transition to college.
